There are old indigenous sites, yoga opportunities on the beach, and some of the world’s best chocolate in Oaxaca, Mexico. Oaxaca offers it all, whether you want to surf, swim with dolphins, or browse for some of Mexico’s best handicrafts. Located in the southern part of Mexico, Oaxaca is regarded as a major centre of indigenous culture and Mexico’s arts and crafts capital. Known for its wide-open spaces, this state runs from its mountainous interior to the Pacific Ocean. Then there are Yagul’s pre-Hispanic ruins, Zipolite’s sandy beaches, and Hierve el Agua’s rock formations, which are all worth mentioning. Oaxaca is the capital of the Mexican state of Oaxaca
At least one night in the state’s capital city is required for every trip to Oaxaca. If you’re flying into Oaxaca City, it makes sense to make the most of this opportunity as quickly as feasible. Oaxaca’s Zócalo, or “main plaza,” is located right in the middle of the city’s historic centre. There are several street vendors and kiosks in the plaza, and Oaxacan chocolate is the region’s most popular export. The Metropolitan Cathedral, a 16th-century structure, looms large in the distance. The Mexican city of Puerto Escondido

A pre-Hispanic city that was first populated by indigenous Zapotecs and subsequently colonised by Mixtecs may now be seen by tourists that go to Mexico to witness these pre-Hispanic remnants, which used to contain a pre-Hispanic metropolis. It is possible to visit the Zapotec capital and witness the tombs, terraces, and subterranean tunnels that stretch for kilometres in length. Mazunte
The Pacific Coast is littered with sleepy surfing settlements. The Mazunte tourism board has designated Playa Mermejita, which is close by, as a pueblo mágico.
